State Line Radio Club's Ham Radio Field Day: A Rainy Success!

June 24, 2023, will be a day to remember for the State Line Radio Club. Despite the unpredictable weather and the rain that poured down, our Ham Radio Field Day was nothing short of a success. It's a testament to the passion, dedication, and resilience of our community.

Braving the Elements

The rain might have dampened the ground, but it certainly didn't dampen our spirits. With our equipment set up and ready to go, we worked on both 20 and 40 meters. The sound of the raindrops mixed with the static buzz of the radio, creating a unique atmosphere that only added to the excitement of the day.

Networking and Logging

One of the highlights of the day was our ability to network all of the stations together. This allowed us to share a logging program, streamlining our processes and ensuring that everyone was on the same page. It was a technical achievement that showcased the skills and expertise of our members.

Community Participation

Field Day wasn't just about the radios; it was about the people. We were thrilled to see several visitors drop by, some out of curiosity and others eager to participate. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and it was a joy to introduce newcomers to the world of Ham radio. Sharing our passion with others and seeing their interest grow is one of the most rewarding aspects of what we do.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who played a part in making Field Day a success. From those who set up the equipment to those who braved the rain to visit us, every contribution, big or small, made a difference. It's the collective effort of our community that makes events like this possible.

As we reflect on the day, we're reminded of the power of community and the joy of shared passions. Here's to many more successful Field Days in the future, rain or shine!
